Operative/Hygiene Assistant

Department: Dental Assistant
Location: Newnan, GA

Job Summary:

Coweta Dentistry is seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Operative and or Hygiene Assistant to join our team. The Operative/Hygiene Assistant will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in our facility. This includes cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing various areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our staff and patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to follow instructions, and a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities, including but not limited too:
- Assist the Dentist with 4 handed dentistry while offering top notch customer service to our patients.

-Assist the dental hygienist with taking dental x-rays, periodontal charting, confirming appointments, reviewing patient health history, applying sealants and fluoride varnish.
- Dispose of waste and trash in a safe and appropriate manner
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request restocking as needed
- Assist with organizing and maintaining storage areas
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Notify supervisor of any maintenance or repair needs
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
- Cooperate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Expanded Duties

- X-ray certified
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Reliable and punctual

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach
